Broadway Bound Camp inspires kids to learn more about theatre arts through active participation combining a fun and supportive atmosphere with professional standards. These camps are an opportunity to work on acting, singing, and dancing skills as well as plenty of chances to play theatre games and learn about theatre practices and information including stage directions and performance skills.

Our camps culminate in a 20-minute performance where students will perform songs within a unique Broadway Bound script to provide a one-of-a-kind experience and performance for kids and families. These performances are on Saturdays.

Camp runs daily from 9 am -5 pm Monday through Friday and Tech rehearsal and performance will be on Saturday from 10 am-3 pm of each camp.

Back by popular demand, Orbit’s Summer Encore series gives way to staged readings, fosters new works of theatre, and presents special projects commissioned by Orbit featuring local and Broadway talent.

This season’s offering will be a fully produced production of Jesus Christ Superstar with guest Director, Broadway’s Eric Sciotto! For the production, there will be creative and very theatrical casting considered, including multi-casting and also non-traditional / non-gender-specific casting.

Students will mount a full-scale production with public performances on June 26th, 27th, and 28th.

Once you are registered for the session, video audition submission information for casting will be sent out in late March. All registered students will be participating in the production.

A true triple threat experience focuses on each participant’s vocal, dance and acting skills. The week long experience culminate’s in Orbit’s Annual Broadway Unplugged Concert celebrating Broadway’s continual contribution to Orbit’s educational and artistic community! Get ready to have a blast at Orbit Day Camp! Join us for a creative explosion including Acting classes, Improv games, Mime, Music, Puppetry, Arts and Crafts and a ton of Outdoor Fun! Our students and parents love this active summer camp!

Join Resident Choreographer and seasoned dance instructor Jillian Hanes-Murray along with other guest instructors for a week long (Monday-Friday) intensive focused on musical theatre dance styles and training! Students will participate in an end of week demo performance on Friday!

Orbit’s musical theatre Teen INTENSIVE is designed specifically for teens who love to sing, act and dance. This challenging and exuberant camp offers the highest level of training for students interested in trying musical theatre for the first time to the more experienced performer. The camps will include Broadway style production numbers, working on individual songs, and masterclasses with some of the best NYC theatre has to offer. The week ends with an exciting Saturday Showcase!
