Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre Prep Track
If you are interested in becoming a triple threat, this class is for you! Come explore and experience musical theatre and its unique performance demands.
This class is designed to help students learn all the essentials of musical theatre in a fun, creative and supportive environment.
It will teach the fundamentals of using drama, song and dance to create characters and tell a story. Become a more versatile performer while studying the following:
- musical theatre dance incorporating Broadway styles
- vocal performance
- diction
- theatre techniques
- acting for the stage
- character development
- improvisation
- audition techniques
The class meets on weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00pm–7:30pm and the course culminates in an informal showcase performance of material covered in class.

Musical Theatre Mania
Get ready to sing, dance, and act your heart out in Musical Theatre Mania! This high-energy, fast-paced class is perfect for young performers who love the magic of Broadway. Students will learn the fundamentals of musical theatre—singing techniques, expressive acting, and dynamic movement—all while building confidence and stage presence. Through engaging games, fun exercises, and exciting group numbers, kids will develop essential performance skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Does your kid love to sing, act, and dance? Do they need an outlet to shine? If so, Orbit Arts Academy is the place for you and your family! We offer a wonderful program for kids, ages 7–12, called Orbit PLAYHOUSE. These young students get to work with instructors that have worked on Broadway and beyond. Our goal is to help shape young people as performers. We believe that instilling kindness and good work ethic in children, while having a safe space for them to be creative, is the best way to nourish their joy of the arts. Come on down and let’s put on a show!
This class will meet on Sundays: 1:00pm–4:00pm or 3:00pm–6:00pm; $135/month tuition.

Orbit Actor's Lab

The Actor’s Lab is a three-month, intensive acting practicum focused on honesty, spontaneity, technique, and professional development through scene study, text analysis, partner work, and creation of acting showcase. This advanced course will spark curiosity for becoming a professional actor through the lens of truthful storytelling.
Topics covered will include Auditioning, Rehearsal Preparation and Etiquette, Deconstructing a Play, Listening, Voice and Speech, Movement, and more!
This program demands tenacity and discipline; yet, those accepted will delight in the equal amount of joy and play required to master it!
Audition Requirements:
Please prepare a 60- to 90-second monologue from a published, contemporary (1960s to the present) play.
- The piece should NOT be a “phone monologue”.
- The piece should NOT be from a musical.
- It SHOULD feature you talking to someone else. Make that person specific, and have a clear focal point.
- We want this to be ACTIVE—you need something from the person you are talking to. You can even stitch together a scene and remove your partner’s lines, so long as it still makes sense as a monologue.
- If you do not have the ability to find a monologue feel free to use one of the selections provided.

The Actors Approach
Dive into the craft of acting through focused monologue and scene work. This class explores how actors analyze text, build authentic characters, and develop a deeper understanding of their role within a scene. Through guided scene study, students will learn how to break down a script, identify objectives and relationships, and make strong acting choices.
Participants will also explore stage awareness—learning how movement, positioning, and connection with scene partners help tell the story. With a focus on collaboration, listening, and truthful performance, actors will strengthen their confidence and presence on stage while developing the tools needed to bring characters to life.

Improv Technique
Join experienced improvisers for the nuts and bolts of comic improvisation, basic improv platforms and other short- and long-form techniques. Through exercises, games, and activities designed to stretch the imagination, the instructor will lead each student individually and this class collectively towards a mastery of improvisation technique.
Students will learn firsthand the importance of improv—whether it be in daily life or on the stage, thinking quick is a skill best learned early! This class will teach just that while also invoking fun and laughter through games and comedy.

Musical Theatre
Triple-T Training Program
The Triple-T Training program includes classes in acting, musical theatre and dance; and includes a detailed approach to acting through song with an accompanist. This program provides thorough training in all musical theatre styles and techniques. Each semester will conclude with a showcase of student work.

Advanced Ballet
Advance Ballet 13+ moves at a faster pace with complex combinations, which will challenge dancers’ coordination, memorization, and endurance while maintaining proper alignments and techniques. The class will follow a professional class progression through barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. It will also emphasize performance quality to assist in becoming well-rounded performers.

Hip-Hop 10+
From learning fun combinations inspired by the music, to finding confidence within their individuality, this hip hop class will focus on not only teaching the “dancer,” but inspiring the “person” dancing. This class will encompass a combination of street and commercial dance forms. Dancers are encouraged to wear loose clothing that makes them feel comfortable and confident, and to come to class with an open mind.

Intermediate/Advanced Tap
This class will focus on traditional Broadway style tap but also mix it up with a flare of Rhythm tap. Classic steps will be covered but also some newer non traditional tap steps will be taught. Class will move at a fast pace because it is Intermediate. Also students will learn timing and various rhythms and how to improv on the spot with tap.

Our Interemediate Ballet classes are beginner/intermediate level classes. You will learn the fundamentals movements, French terminology and musicality of classical ballet while focusing on proper body alignment and techniques to build a strong foundation of this dance form. The Booth Blueprint - Intro Tech Class
In this class, students step into the world of lighting and sound. No prior experience is needed either; just curiosity and willingness to learn. Through hands-on activities and guided instruction, students will explore how lighting and audio work in real productions.
Students will:
Learn how stage lighting creates mood, focus, and visual impact.
Get introduced to lighting equipment/controls, cues, and simple programming.
Explore the basics of sound (including microphones, music playback, and live mixing).
Practice running lighting and sound during simulated in-class show moments.
Each class is interactive and practical. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in both disciplines and the confidence to step into a backstage role in the future. Perfect for those who want to step into the world of technical theatre, performers curious about tech, and/or students passionate about live production.

Company members will participate in a fall showcase and a full spring musical theatre production from the canon through a Broadway licensing company. During this time, they will receive the utmost possible training in each required musical theatre medium.

Apprentice Company members will spend the Fall season preparing for participation in a Winter musical theatre production from the canon through a Broadway licensing company. The Spring will focus on in depth acting, song approach (solo and group), and dance training culminating in a Spring showcase performance. During this time, they will receive the utmost possible training in each required musical theatre medium.
