Masterclass with Broadway’s Judine Somerville!

Judine Somerville is currently teaching Theatre Dance at the Ailey School in New York City. She has earned the title of Ambassador of The Arts & Life by Colleagues, Educators , and Youth around the country. Her infectious Energy, Honesty, and Spirit is a testament to the difference she has made in the lives of others through the Arts.

She was the Assistant Choreographer to Otis Sallid on the Fox Searchlight Movie Musical, Black Nativity Starring Forest Whitaker, Angela Basset, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige and introducing Jacob Lattimore.

On Broadway, Judine was part of the original cast and singing trio sensation The Dynamites, in the Tony Award winning musical HAIRSPRAY. Other Broadway credits include: ON THE TOWN, THE LIFE,  CRAZY FOR YOU, and  LATE NITE COMIC. National Tours: Barry Manilow’s COPACABANA and Jekyll and Hyde. Television appearances include: MTV’S ..MADE, THE TODAY SHOW, THE VIEW, JUDGE HATCHETT, GOOD MORNING AMERICA,THE CBS EARLY SHOW, THE TONIGHT SHOW with JAY LENO, THE ROSIE O’DONNELL SHOW, LATE NITE with DAVID LETTERMAN, LATE NITE with CONAN O’BRIEN, THE VH1 AWARDS, THE RICKI LAKE SHOW, THE TONY AWARDS, THE JERRY LEWIS TELETHON, THE MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE, and THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE.

Special events include: Former Rockette at Radio City Music Hall. Performing on the Red Carpet at the Grammy Awards, Anthem Singer at Madison Square Garden, F.Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship-First Dancer to ever win the award in it’s 45 year history. Presenter at Canyon Ranch.

While performing in HAIRSPRAY, Judine was the recipient of the prestigious Gypsy Robe, awarded to the ensemble member who has performed in the most Broadway Musicals. She is honored to be a part of an amazing group of “Gypsies” who have received this honor. Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera, Donna Mckechnie, Adrian Bailey, Dana Moore and Joanne Hunter just to name a few.

Judine has been invited to work on such innovative projects such as : MEMPHIS INSPIRE CHANGE, IMPACT BROADWAY, FIDELITY FUTURESTAGE and MEET THE ARTIST SCHOOL SERIES at LINCOLN CENTER.



Masterclass with Broadway’s Corey Cott and Laura Osnes

Since graduation from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, Corey Cott has quickly established himself as a captivating young actor, equally at home on both stage and screen. He most recently received critical acclaim for his performance in the Tony Award winning musical Bandstand.  Previous roles include two years as Jack Kelly in Disney’s Newsies, his Broadway debut, which was immediately followed by the revival of Gigi starring opposite Vanessa Hudgens. On television, he portrays writer Townsend Martin opposite Christina Ricci in the Amazon series “Z: The Beginning of Everything”, about the life of Zelda Fitzgerald. He also has a recurring role on “The Good Fight” (CBS All Access).  Across the Atlantic, Mr. Cott co-starred alongside Hattie Morahan in the BBC miniseries “My Mother and Other Strangers” which also aired on PBS. He was a series regular on the Amazon pilot “The Interestings”, and has guest starred on “Madam Secretary”, “Public Morals”, and “Law and Order: SVU”. A native of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Mr. Cott made his solo concert debut at The Kennedy Center’s ASCAP Centennial Celebration, and headlined at Elsie Fest in New York City. Twitter/Insta: @NapOnACott



Laura Osnes was last seen on Broadway in Bandstand (Drama Desk and Drama League Award nominations) after creating the role of Julia Trojan in the Paper Mill Playhouse production. Her other Broadway credits include the title role in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Drama Desk Award; Tony, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League and Astaire Award nominations), Bonnie in Bonnie and Clyde (Tony nomination), Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Astaire Award nominations), Nellie Forbush in Lincoln Center Theater’s South Pacific, and Sandy in the most recent revival of Grease. Other New York/regional credits include The Threepenny Opera (Drama Desk nomination) at the Atlantic Theater Company; City Center Encores! productions of The Band Wagon, Randy Newman’s Faust, and Pipe Dream; The Sound of Music in concert at Carnegie Hall; Carousel opposite Steven Pasquale at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Broadway: Three Generations at the Kennedy Center. On television, she has been seen on the CBS series “Elementary”, in the HBO pilot “The Miraculous Year”, Sondheim: The Birthday Concert at Avery Fisher Hall, HBO’s documentary Six By Sondheim, and the Kennedy Center Honors salutes to Barbara Cook (2011) and Dustin Hoffman (2012). Her many concerts and cabarets include performing with Michael Feinstein, the New York Philharmonic, The New York Pops, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, The Boston Pops, The San Francisco Symphony, and The National Symphony Orchestra, as well as appearing in such venues as Carnegie Hall, The Café Carlyle, Feinsteins/54 Below, Lincoln Center, The Smith Center in Las Vegas, and MN Orchestra Hall. In addition to being heard on several cast recordings, Laura has two solo albums, Dream A Little Dream: Live at The Café Carlyle and If I Tell You: The Songs of Maury Yeston.

KEVEN QUILLON is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. His recent Broadway credits include: Bandstand,  A Christmas Story, Annie, Shrek: The Musical, and Grease.Broadway Workshops include: Bandstand: The Musical, Hee-Haw!: The Musical, An Officer and A Gentleman, Leap of Faith, Idaho: The Musical. First National Tours: Shrek: The Musical, Grease, Sweet Charity, Saturday Night Fever, We Will Rock You (Las Vegas), White Christmas (LA). Regional: Denver Center (The Unsinkable Molly Brown) Sacramento Music Circus (Grease, Crazy for You, Beauty and the Beast), Maltz Jupiter Theater (Joseph). Original Cast Recordings: Annie, Grease, Shrek: The Musical. TV appearances include: The Tony Awards, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Macy’ s Day Parade, The Hollywood Christmas Parade, and The Rose Parade dancing back-up for Leann Rimes. Keven is a proud graduate of James Madison University and has a B.A. in English and Theater, as well as his teaching certification. He has taught master classes through Broadway Connection, Camp Broadway, Broadway Classroom, Broadway Dance Center, The Pulse NYC Convention (hosted by the creators of “So You Think You Can Dance”), and various high schools and universities across the country.
